TOWER CITY — Peyton Schley dominated on the mound, striking out 11 and setting the tone as Tri-Valley controlled things from the start.

The Dawgs rolled to a 10-1 non-league win over Williams Valley on Monday at Williams Valley, using a strong start and consistent offense to pull away early.

Tri-Valley plated four runs in the first inning and never looked back, adding on in the middle frames to create separation.

Schley earned the win with five strong innings, allowing just one run while keeping the Vikings off balance throughout.

Behind him, Braeden Doyle led the offense with three hits, including a triple, while Jason Stewart and Gavin Klock each added two hits. Stewart and Schley each doubled, and Owen Miller chipped in a triple.

The Dawgs finished with 14 hits, getting contributions across the lineup. Doyle and Klock each had a pair of RBIs.

Williams Valley managed just four hits, with Fletcher Thompson recording two, including a triple and a run scored. John Rautzahn collected a hit and the lone RBI.

LANSFORD — Danny Wehr and Brody Breiner led a balanced attack as Panther Valley pulled away from Mahanoy Area in a non-league game.

After Mahanoy Area briefly tied it 1-1 in the second, the Panthers answered right away, using doubles from Wehr and Carson Jones to fuel a big inning and take control.

Breiner handled things on the mound, going the distance with eight strikeouts while limiting the Golden Bears to two runs. At the plate, Wehr, Breiner, Jones and Derek Lazar each collected two hits, with Wehr driving in three runs as Panther Valley consistently applied pressure.

Mahanoy Area managed five hits, getting contributions from Brody Noraka, Derek Alvarado, Colby Wagner, Damien Contreras and Joe Rick.

FOUNTAIN SPRINGS — Dylan Cairo delivered when it mattered most, lifting North Schuylkill past Shikellamy in a marathon non-league battle.

Locked in a scoreless duel deep into extras, the Spartans finally broke through in the 11th inning when Cairo came up clutch with a walk-off RBI single to score Seth Hubler. Hubler led off the eleventh inning with a single.

North Schuylkill’s pitching set the tone all afternoon. Hunter Rogers worked into the sixth before Mark Monahan took over and dominated in relief, combining to keep Shikellamy off the board while piling up 12 strikeouts.

At the plate, Hubler and Kole Rollenhagen each collected two hits to pace the Spartans, while Cairo delivered the game’s biggest swing. Shikellamy managed just four hits but stayed in it behind a strong outing from Charlie Walter before the Spartans finally broke through late.

Bloomsburg 7, Minersville 3

MINERSVILLE — Jason Correll was hot at the plate, but Minersville couldn’t overcome a costly sixth inning in a non-league loss to Bloomsburg.

Correll led the Battlin’ Miners with three hits, while Cam Rogers, Nolan Plesnarski, Brody Rogers and Aidan Ryan added to a seven-hit effort. Despite the production, Minersville struggled to limit damage defensively, with errors playing a key role in the turning point inning.

The Panthers managed just two hits but made them count, using aggressive baserunning and taking advantage of opportunities to pull away late.
